 | The new star in the PWA Wave circus: Alex Mussolini | MP: Sylt is probably one of the toughest places to compete- the conditions are always changing- did you have an advantage there because of the conditions?
| AM: As you know Sylt is the toughest place to sail in the world! Experience is a big key for getting a good result there, i have sailed a lot in many different conditions so that helped me a lot on my final result. I also want to thank my friend Dany Bruch, he helped me a lot during the single elimination and on the final for the double elimination. | MP: Tell us about your gear? You have the new Vandal sails and they look to be working quite nicely for you- how involved are you with the development and where do you see sails going in the future?
| AM: My boards and sails were working veeery good, Dan has created probably the nicest sail on the market, easy to ride, very easy to control perfect for my style of riding. This is my first year with Vandal Sails, so basically my work with Dan is to email him about my impressions on how the sails work, what problems do i have with them etc... Sails are changing every year to make sailors (customers) get a good fluid ride, i think that future sails will be made for people who want to improve in the waves or any other discipline and they will all get the chance to ride the same sails as pro sailors use. | |
